McVay is holding him out of Melbourne. The Rams-49ers show still goes on without the comeback star on the plane.

  1. Aaron Donald will not fly to Melbourne and will be inactive for Thursday night's Rams-49ers Netflix game.

    Sean McVay said the Rams want more time after Donald's return from two seasons away. Donald unretired Aug. 30 and only hit 11-on-11 on Sep. 6. McVay called Week 1 a really quick turnaround.

    The international Netflix product still kicks Thursday at 8:35 p.m. ET — without the face of the comeback story on the plane.
