Dallas has earned the celebration. A win over Portland secured the franchise's first postseason trip since 2023 and established a team record for victories. But clinching does not remove the pressure from the remaining schedule. The Wings can still land across a broad range of seeds, and the first-round format rewards the higher seed with Games 1 and 3 at home. The next result can therefore change both the opponent and the shape of the series.
