  • Florida overturned a 14-point deficit at Texas, Northwestern and West Virginia won on late field goals, and two Mid-American Conference games needed overtime in Saturday's early college football window. The 14 games that kicked off from noon Eastern through before 3 p.m. also produced shutouts by LSU and Clemson and Charlotte's first victory of the season.

    Two kicks settle wild finishes

Northwestern beat Michigan State 24-21 when Jackson Kleather made a 34-yard field goal with two seconds left. Aidan Chiles had brought the Wildcats back from eight points down against his former team. Northwestern then survived a failed fake punt and blocked Michigan State's potential go-ahead kick before driving into range for Kleather.

SMU beat Virginia 23-13 as Kevin Jennings' fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Jalen Hale broke open a one-point game. Kansas State beat Kansas 35-24, rushing for 359 yards and extending its Sunflower Showdown winning streak to 18.
