Paxton Kling finished the Arizona Fall League’s first full week with eight RBIs and added three walks and two stolen bases Sunday in Surprise’s 5-4 win over Glendale. The Rangers outfield prospect is 7-for-15 through four appearances, with a .467 batting average and four steals, according to MLB’s official statistics.
Sunday’s outing supplied a different kind of production from the hitting burst that opened his fall. Kling went 0-for-1 but reached three times on walks. Those plate appearances lifted his on-base percentage to .579 while leaving his RBI total at eight. Surprise improved to 4-3 and is scheduled to host Peoria on Monday, October 12.
The largest contribution came October 5, when Kling went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and five RBIs. His walk-off single completed an 8-7 victory over Glendale. MLB Pipeline shared an official video of that performance the following day, identifying it as his first career four-hit game and a professional best for RBIs.

Kling had already driven in two runs in the October 3 opener against Scottsdale, then added an RBI October 8. Those three hitting appearances accounted for all eight runs batted in before his return to the lineup Sunday. The official game log places the four-hit performance in his second appearance, providing a clear sequence for his fast start.
Rangers OnSI reporter Matt Postins described the early run as another development step after Kling reached Double-A Frisco late in the regular season. His 2026 minor league line was .243/.383/.361 across 89 games, with seven home runs and 40 stolen bases. The speed has carried into Arizona; the Fall League gives him additional opportunities to combine it with sustained contact and walks.
Texas selected Kling from Penn State in the seventh round of the 2025 draft. He is 23 and remains part of the Rangers’ prospect pipeline, playing for Surprise rather than the major league club. Four fall appearances offer a small sample, but Sunday extended the production beyond one standout night and kept him contributing while the Saguaros’ schedule continues.
