No. 16 Michigan beats Western Michigan 13-12 on a Hail Mary

No. 16 Michigan beat Western Michigan 13-12 on Saturday night when Bryce Underwood threw a 47-yard touchdown to JJ Buchanan as time expired.

Western Michigan had led 12-7 after Dieter Kelly’s fourth field goal, a 33-yarder with 35 seconds left. Kelly was 4-for-4 on the night (52, 45, 39, 33). On the final snap, Underwood found Buchanan for the game-winner.

Underwood finished 12 of 22 for 170 yards and a touchdown, plus a rushing score. Buchanan caught six passes for 126 yards and the deciding touchdown.
