Chicago restructured G Joe Thuney, DE Dayo Odeyingbo, and LB T.J. Edwards, creating about $17 million in 2026 salary-cap space, Field Yates reported via Heavy on Sep 4. NBC Sports framed the club as having roughly $22 million of room after the moves. This is cap construction, not a practice-squad dump.
