Cedric Tillman landed on the Saints practice squad Tuesday. Detroit put Isiah Pacheco on injured reserve with a back injury that will keep him out at least four games. Those are the two moves that closed the post-cutdown window after the NFL awarded 29 waiver claims Monday.
SleeperCowboys posted video of George Pickens' swing after the Cowboys golfed in Utah. Also in this pack: Ryan Mouque on backswing depth, and a Skratch clip captioned Not a bad gig.
Mina Kimes said the first look at Mike McDaniel's offense with Justin Herbert used heavy personnel groupings, condensed formations, and pistol. She and Aaron Schatz said they are excited, and she asked whether it can cover a shaky interior offensive line. This is their first-look note, not a snap-count sheet.
Miami coach Jeff Hafley confirmed Kyle McCord is the Dolphins' QB2, Joe Schad reported. Also in this pack: Justin Jefferson's four-year 98th-percentile mark versus press coverage per Reception Perception, six 49ers on ESPN's Top 100 as posted, Yahoo Fantasy's note that no overall fantasy WR1 has repeated the next year in a decade, and Bryce DeGroat's overall-RB1 tiers. The Lions' Isiah Pacheco IR is a separate filing.
The Detroit Lions placed running back Isiah Pacheco on injured reserve with a back injury. Adam Schefter reported he will be sidelined at least four games. This page is that IR filing. It does not name a replacement or a fantasy landing.
Colton Cowser robbed Jake McCarthy of a walk-off home run as the Orioles beat the Rockies 2-1. The Cubs beat the Brewers 17-3 and hit a franchise-record nine home runs, including three from Alex Bregman. Official MLB highlights.
Golf Digest used last week's four rounds at East Lake to project how the 2026 Tour Championship would have played as match play. The piece says it is not a perfect replication of what will happen in 2028. Also in this pack: Scheffler's winning WITB, TPI on Michael Brennan generating vertical force early, five training takeaways from Scheffler's trainer, MyGolfSpy's Best Wedges of 2026 dashboard, and a quote-tweet asking for Tiger Woods' career earnings adjusted for inflation after SportsCenter s
Luke Kerr-Dineen, Golf Digest Game Plan, uses Corey Jez and Tour IQ ShotLink data to show that shot patterns are a bell curve, not an even oval. Pros still aim away from real hazards. When a short-sided miss is a pretend penalty, they fire closer to tucked pins so most shots finish nearer the hole. This is instruction, not a 2026 Tour Championship result.
MLB posted a video of the Top 10 Baseball Is The Best moments chosen by Sarah Langs for the 250-for-250 series. The same account also posted a Payton Tolle gem and a September 1 schedule graphic. The ranking is Langs' list, not a league-wide vote.
Watt will continue with Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson for the rest of the season.
Ryan Mouque says the best thing he did for his game was to stop caring, and his scores improved. He also posted a Justin Rose-style chipping drill: short and sharp, hinge up, thumbs down, stop around waist high. Skratch posted a clip to protect Johnson Wagner at all costs. Instruction and color, not tour results.
The Financial Times reported that LIV Golf is preparing to file for bankruptcy in September. The FT card on the tweet says the challenger league is negotiating a funding package with BC Partners for a slimmed-down circuit. That is a report of preparations, not a confirmed filing in court. No dollar figures are in the tweet.

The NFL awarded 29 waiver claims Monday, according to Tom Pelissero's official sheets posted at 1:49 p.m. ET. Dallas claimed running back Emari Demercado from Kansas City. Miami claimed seven players, including Brady Cook and Justin Joly. New England claimed tight end Cameron Latu from Philadelphia. The Jets claimed kicker Blake Grupe from Indianapolis. Las Vegas was awarded only Darrell Luter. Cedric Tillman cleared the Monday waiver awards and signed the Saints practice squad Tuesday.
Tennessee waived Will Levis. Dallas waived Jaydon Blue and Jashaun Corbin. Malik Davis won the Cowboys RB2 job on special teams; the rumor that Dallas kept a UFL back over Blue is false. Odell Beckham Jr. is on the Giants 53. The Rams 53 lists Aaron Donald on the defensive line next to Myles Garrett at outside linebacker. Donald's deal is one year, $20 million, incentives to $30 million. Polymarket had Donald to sign at 99 percent and Week 1 play at 66 percent.
Scottie Scheffler won the Tour Championship. He said the season is over and he earned a beer. Tiger Woods marked three wins, five runner-ups, and No. 1 and called the season historic. Rules officials said Viktor Hovland did not appear to touch the sand. Golf Digest on which stats matter. The Golf Engineer on the driver sweet spot.

Luke Kerr-Dineen walks Grober's Yale lecture and Novosel's Tour Tempo: the ratio holds even when Rahm is short and Singh is long. Smooth means even, not low-and-slow. This is a range tape, not East Lake news, and it does not touch the 2028 format collection.

By Sunday evening, the final wave of roster moves was in. Odell Beckham Jr. made the Giants’ initial 53, the Titans waived Will Levis, and the Packers placed Micah Parsons on PUP while listing Kaleb Johnson as inbound pending a physical. The 49ers designated Christian Kirk to return from IR, and Dallas sent Nate Thomas to Houston as the late roster churn continued.
Jacobs came off the exempt list Monday and can practice Wednesday. Matt LaFleur has not committed to playing him against the Lions.
The 53-man deadline is still 6 p.m. ET Sunday. New filings: the Steelers sent tackle Broderick Jones and a 2027 fourth-round pick to Dallas for a 2027 third and sixth. The Bills released Mecole Hardman. The Cardinals waived lineman Christian Jones. McCarthy, AOC, Fulton, Howell, Kaleb Johnson, and Tracy are unfiled. OBJ is on an NFL roster, not a named 53. Tillman is a free agent as of Saturday. Kirk remains IR or release.
NFL teams have until 6 p.m. Sunday to get to 53 players. This is the first Sunday cut deadline in 22 years. The league moved it so the 49ers and Rams are not building a practice squad while they fly to Melbourne. About 1,184 jobs go away overnight. The Dublin clip that is spreading is Belichick's first-down signal, not the 15-10 final.
