  1. Carolina pulled even at 31, and Chicago answered by running away. D’Andre Swift scored his second touchdown, Kyle Monangai broke loose for 61 yards, and a game that had been a back-and-forth exchange became a 59–37 Bears victory Sunday in Charlotte.

Swift finished with 124 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries. Monangai needed only 10 attempts to reach 100 yards, while Caleb Williams added 65 rushing yards and two scores of his own. Chicago’s six rushing touchdowns and 291 yards on the ground left the Panthers unable to keep trading points.

Chicago’s official clip shows Monangai breaking loose for the 61-yard touchdown that helped the Bears pull away.

  2. Two runs changed the afternoon

Chuba Hubbard’s third-quarter rushing touchdown erased Chicago’s 31–24 halftime lead. It was his second score of the game, following an opening-quarter touchdown catch from Bryce Young.

The Bears responded with Swift’s second 1-yard touchdown run. Carolina’s official recap identifies a roughing-the-passer penalty on Derrick Brown as a costly extension of that drive. The Panthers then failed on fourth down, and Monangai’s 61-yard scoring run pushed Chicago’s advantage to 45–31.

That sequence finally gave the Bears breathing room. A Tetairoa McMillan fumble on Carolina’s next possession compounded the damage, and Williams later found Jahdae Walker for a 1-yard touchdown. Swift supplied the final Chicago score with a 28-yard run, completing his three-touchdown afternoon.

Williams hurt Carolina in both directions

Williams completed 21 of 29 passes for 269 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. His other scoring pass went 22 yards to Cole Kmet, and his two rushing touchdowns meant Carolina had to account for him beyond the pocket.

Kalif Raymond led Chicago with eight catches for 84 yards. Luther Burden III caught all five of his targets for 63 yards, while Rome Odunze gained 52 yards on two receptions. The offense found production across the formation instead of leaning on one receiver to carry the passing game.

The defensive performance was much less comfortable. The Chicago Sun-Times noted that the Bears surrendered 24 first-half points and that a failed fourth-and-one sneak from their own 21 helped Carolina tie the score during the second quarter.

Chicago’s original clip shows Odunze contributing to the passing attack.

  3. Young and Coker kept answering

Young threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception. Jalen Coker caught eight passes for 138 yards and two scores, including a 51-yard touchdown that helped keep the Panthers within reach before halftime.

Carolina generated enough offense to make the game dangerous. What it could not do was stop Chicago’s ground attack when the score was level. Swift and Monangai turned that opening into the decisive stretch, and Williams ensured the Panthers could not solve the problem by concentrating only on the running backs.
