  • The Philadelphia Eagles led 10-0 after one quarter Sunday night. They lost 27-10 to the Washington Commanders, and that is six losses in a row for a team now sitting at 2-6.

Jake Elliott kicked a 40-yard field goal and Saquon Barkley ran in from the 3 on Philadelphia's first two scoring drives. After that, Washington held the Eagles scoreless for the last three quarters, according to the AP recap on ESPN.

The moment that broke it came in the fourth quarter. Down 16-10, Elliott made a field goal that would have cut the lead to three. An illegal formation penalty took it off the board. His 41-yard retry hit the upright and stayed out. Washington's Drew Stevens then made a 42-yarder, his fourth field goal of the night, and it was 19-10 with 3:43 left.

  • Tanner McKee's next drive ended with a Rasul Douglas interception. Rachaad White broke a 33-yard run to get inside the 5 and then scored from the 1, and Austin Ekeler ran in the two-point try.

McKee, making his third start in place of the injured Jalen Hurts, went 23 of 34 for 212 yards with no touchdowns and the pick. He was sacked five times. Barkley ran 13 times for 30 yards. The Eagles finished with 91 rushing yards and 268 total, and 69 of those came on a last drive after the game was gone. Philadelphia went 5 of 15 on third down.

Washington was not clean either. It was flagged nine times for 70 yards, missed a 55-yard field goal and lost a fumble early. Jayden Daniels threw for 217 yards and one touchdown, an 8-yarder to Stefon Diggs, and still won as a starter for the first time since October 2025.

  • The Commanders (2-4-1) are two games behind the first-place Giants in the NFC East. The Eagles host those Giants next Sunday.
