The Kansas City Chiefs came into Sunday night unbeaten and left Lumen Field with three points. Seattle beat them 20-3, the Chiefs fell to 5-1, and the only Kansas City score was a 50-yard Harrison Butker field goal that came right after Patrick Mahomes fumbled on third down, according to the Associated Press.
"Listen, all three phases we struggled, so we've got to do better, and that's my responsibility," Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. "So I take full responsibility for this."
The headline matchup was Kenneth Walker III against the team he won Super Bowl MVP for last season. Walker arrived leading the league at 133 rushing yards a game. He got 14 carries and 36 yards. Kansas City ran for 50 yards as a team and had 213 total.

"We know what kind of running back was coming in here, but we don't allow people to run through our defense," Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV said. "That's just us." Seattle hasn't given up a 100-yard rusher in 36 games.
Mahomes went 19 of 33 for 165 yards. Ty Okada intercepted him in the second quarter on a throw meant for Jalen Royals, and Seattle scored a touchdown on the next drive. The Chiefs converted 3 of 11 third downs and never reached the red zone.
Then there's the kicker. Butker went 1 for 3. His 58-yard try at the end of the first half fell short after Nohl Williams gave Kansas City a gift with an end-zone interception and a long return. Early in the fourth quarter, down 13-3, he missed from 45, wide right. He has missed 10 field goals since the start of last season. "He's off a bit. Got to fix it," Reid said.
Seattle made it 20-3 on Emanuel Wilson's 21-yard run with 3:47 left, and Wilson finished with 100 yards. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught nine passes for 150 yards and a touchdown, and Sam Darnold threw for 257.
The Seahawks weren't clean either. They went 0 for 3 in the red zone and lost receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee) and tackle Charles Cross (ankle) during the game. They still had 410 yards and the ball for almost 36 minutes.
Kansas City played without Rashee Rice (hamstring) for a third straight week and tackle Jaylon Moore (concussion protocol). The one good number for the Chiefs belonged to Travis Kelce, whose four catches moved him past Marvin Harrison and Cris Carter into fifth on the career receptions list at 1,104.
The Chiefs go to Denver next Sunday.
